We are super excited to announce that our Dons Baseball Team and Lady Dons Softball Team placed 1st in our West Las Vegas Tournament over the weekend. Our Powerlifting team finished with many State Qualifiers over the weekend. Congratulations to PJ Montano, Cameron Padilla, Nico Ulibarri, CJ Perea, Marcus Tapia, Eliana Griego, Makayla Gallegos, Joslyn Ortiz, and Ramona Madrid for representing WLV as Powerlifting State Qualifiers.

Attention, seniors and juniors. If you will attend the prom, you must be up-to-date on your class dues. Sra Ulibarri will be handing out the prom clearance forms for the Open House.
Seniors must be up-to-date on their dues to be able to participate in senior activities and walk the line for graduation.

Congratulations to the Dons and Lady Dons Track Teams for performing at the Tucumcari track meet over the weekend. Lady Dons placed 2nd, and Dons placed 3rd out of 19 teamsāa special shout out to Mark Balizan, who qualified for State in the High Jump.

(We will close for lunch from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm). We are thrilled to announce that our Writing Club attended this weekend's English Expo on the New Mexico Highlands University Campus. They represented our Dons Community well and achieved outstanding success! Their hard work, dedication, and talent have truly shined through, and we could not be more proud of their accomplishments. Each student's unique voice and creativity were showcased at the English Expo, where they excelled in various writing categories. Students that received honors were Markhel Petersen for Book Covers, Marisol Salazar for Photographic Essay, Delaney Martinez for Prose, Aliana Gallegos and Jordan Rodarte for Short Story-Teen Life, Katelyn Benavidez for listening, Analiza Lobato for Declamation. Congratulations! Your achievements inspire us all and serve as a testament to your passion for writing and the fantastic work of our Writing Club. Shout out to Mr. and Mrs. Lopez for their desire to lead this magnificent club and for inspiring you to bring out the best in your talents.

We are thrilled to announce West Las Vegas High School Wrestling has achieved great success at all levels! Our school and fans are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication that these individuals put forth throughout the season. Our Dons Wrestling Team was named District Champs, They placed fourth at Regionals. We also had the following individuals qualify for state wrestling this past weekend: Andres Lopez, Cameron Padilla, Toby Baca, Lucas Marquez, Cruz Martinez, Corbin Harvey, Francisco Villa-Lopez, Nico Ulibarri and Solis Medrano. We are proud to announce that Andres Lopez and Cruz Martinez were state champions. Cameron Padilla placed 3rd and Nico Ulibarri placed 5th.
