The WLVS Board of Education presented at the National School Board Association (NSBA) in San Antonio. The national event that brings together education leaders from across the country, offering a unique opportunity to learn about best governance practices, gain insights into child development, and explore cutting-edge programs and technology to enrich student learning. The WLVS Board of Education's session highlighted the remarkable journey of how a small, under-resourced district turned challenges into opportunities by prioritizing unity, transparency, and student achievement. Attendees will hear how the board built a culture of collaboration with district leadership, aligned its goals with student outcomes, and kept its focus on equity and community engagement. Participants will leave with strategies for effective governance that can be adapted to boards of any size.
